Brown is a Fool
Brown and the UK are already in deep trouble from all angles: Food, Energy, Finance, Dilapidating infrastructure, and Overpopulation. It's doubted by his own citizens that the UK will have the monies to put on the 2012 Olympics, not to mention the food and energy. Euan Mearns at The OilDrum Europe has written some very insightful articles about UK energy shortfall and others have provided proof of its food problems, both of which are related to overpopulation.
It's been almost 400 years since the last British Civil War. Labour is an utter failure. It would be a real switch if Respect were to become the party in power. There're less than 20 years remaining for Russian hydrocarbon exports. Given the dire state of the UK's energy porfolio, it would be folly for it to miss any of Russia's remaining energy exports.
